Tickets for the Warriors-Thunder Game 7 match are selling for $30,000 each

Courtside seats for tonight’s Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder game 7 playoff match are selling for nearly $30,000 a piece through secondary reseller websites.

StubHub currently has two VIP courtside tickets to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals available at $29,680 apiece. Ticketmaster is also selling several seats for $25,938 each.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell, managed to unidentified two fans were able to purchase floor seats to Monday’s game at $29,000 each through TicketMaster.

Even cheap tickets are not cheap. The average price per ticket is now $960 per seat, the second highest rate for an NBA Game 7 showdown in the past five years. In comparison, the 2013 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs had tickets fetching $1,346 each.

The high price of tickets isn’t a surprise. The Golden State Warriors now own claim to the most winning games in a single NBA season and they are the defending NBA champs. The Thunder, on the other hand, are attempting to make their first return to the NBA Finals since 2012.

The winner of Monday’s game will head to the Finals to play against Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The high ticket price can also be blamed on Silicon Valley millionaires who are willing to pony up big bucks to watch the Warriors taken on the Thunder.
