Part of that effort has been taken up by a website called The Best Degrees which has produced a thorough 7,000 word research document that ranks the top 25 online colleges using systematic evaluation criteria.
According to the site, they rated online colleges for 2010 according to several important factors such as programmatic accreditation, academic awards, reputation, special features, cost and selection of online degrees offered.

I’m really surprised that a few schools aren’t on the list. I thought http://www.aiuonline.edu and http://www.usanfranonline.com would have made it.
I am happy to see Capella on the list. I am very pleased thus far with the PhD program in Education with a specialty in Academic Leadership. In addition to this, Capella University received the 2010 CHEA Award. Very impressive.
