TreeHouse Foods issues recall over listeria threat

Treehouse Foods RecallTreeHouse Foods on Tuesday issued a voluntarily recall for products that may contain sunflower seeds that were contaminated with listeria.The company says no illnesses have been reported but TreeHouse decided to issue the recall for the products out of “an abundance of caution,” according to a press release.

Among products recalled are packaged sunflower kernels, almonds, and chocolate bars for supermarket brands.

The food-processing company mostly prepares private-label goods.

Shares of TreeHouse were flat in late trading Monday after ending the regular trading day off 2.8%
