Twitter at SXSW

I have mixed feelings so far about SXSW, but I'll wait until it's over before I decide whether I like it or not. One thing is for sure, there are a LOT of people here. Click on the pic for a larger view of all the bags waiting to be handed out.

I've been using Twitter since I've been here. It's basically a service that allows me to send quick messages about where I am and what I'm doing, so that people can keep track of me. I can do the same by building a page of people I know and see where they are. Messages can also be sent to a cellphone, but I turned that off in after 20 minutes of getting a message every two minutes. It was just too annoying. Twitter is very useful for something like this, but I can't imagine using it on a daily basis because… well I just have too much to do and I don't feel any compelling need to monitor the minute life details of the people that I know. Anyway, you can check out my page of updatess here.
