Twitter chooses AmEx executive Leslie Berland as next CMO

Twitter hires new CMO

American Express executive Leslie Berland has agreed to take on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Twitter. Her new hire was announced in a tweet sent out by CEO Jack Dorsey on Tuesday.

“Welcoming @leslieberland to Twitter! She will join as our CMO to help tell the stories of our iconic product!,” Dorsey tweeted.

Berland is currently executive vice president of global advertising, marketing and digital partnerships at American Express.

No further details about her start date have been revealed at this time.
