Glenn Arthurs, Chris Malof, Jay Blair and Wyatt Arthurs, who worked together as the Arthurs Malof Group, joined UBS on Monday in Buffalo, New York.
The four brokers generated more than $10 million in revenues from their high net worth clients over the last year. The men worked with public and private foundations and endowments.
Arthurs has a storied history, having begun his career with Lehman Brothers in 1983, before joining Citigroup Inc in 1993 and then Morgan Stanley in 2009 after it purchased Smith Barney from Citigroup.
In 2014 and 2015 Arthur was named to Barron’s list of the top 1,200 advisers in the U.S.
Arthurs and Malof became partners in 1996, two years after Malof joined Citigroup.
Blair began working at Citigroup in 2001 after working at Merrill Lynch for three years.
Wyatt Arthurs joined Citigroup in 2005.
Morgan Stanley has declined to comment on the split. UBS officials were not available for comment.
