Almost 6 months ago, at work I sliced my thumb open with a pair of scissors making a similar cut to my tendons. After about 3 months of therapy, I'm now approaching my second surgery. Luckily, it has been covered completely by workmen's compensation, but at the pricey bill of about $20,000. It's amazing how expensive recovery can be.

It is amazing to me that we have to live like this. How healthcare isn't a natural born right like education I don't know. The fact that you have to negotiate the costs of a medical procedure escapes me. I wouldn't even know where to begin! In any event, I hope you are feeling better!

On a side note, kind of late to be whipping up a pie isn't it Drea?
