WeWork officially launches WeLive flexible living spaces

WeWork debuts WeLive

Workspace sharing company WeWork is hoping that its successful office rental setup will translate into more customers who are also seeking a place to live in major metropolitan areas. The company on Monday officially launched WeLive, a residential rental building that offers flexible renting and a nicely packaged set of amenities.

The first WeLive in New York City is located at 110 Wall Street, the same building where the company houses its main space in the Financial District. A second location in also available in DC at 2221 S. Clark Street in Arlington.

The spaces include studios, 1BR, 2BR, 3BR, and 4BR spaces, serving up to eight people. The studios can come in single bed apartments or two beds to split up the space between roommates.

Just like the company’s office space, rooms are available on a month-by-month basis.

The least expensive deal is a shared Studio Plus apartment which features two beds, and starts at $1375/month. That price includes furniture, bedding, and kitchenware.

For an extra $150, users will have access to a full set of amenities, including monthly cleaning, high-speed internet and Verizon cable.

If that isn’t enough — WeLive spaces will also have community events like a Happy Hour, Karaoke sessions and more, all of which are accessible via a Google Android or iPhone app.

Just like WeWork offices, residents also have unlimited access to free tea, bottled waters, and beer.
