That's what I mean, Time Warner merged with AOL wanting to diversify and then both companies couldn't get rid of each other quick enough. A lot of what I have been reading, experts are saying they see NBC and Comcast sharing the same fate.

I think it will pass through if the sale should move forward. I don't think it should, but because of the money that will be spent and the past failure of aol - Time Warner merger, it will probably happen.

From Comcast's side it's perfect timing. Heads are rolling in all movie studios because of slow sales and bad movies...but it's a lot of control to be handing to one company. BUT Comcast said they would like to use Universal as an experiment on how sales fluctuate depending on times (box office to home movie etc etc.) Universal is crazy for letting someone come in that just wants to play around to get the formula right before moving on to someone else when it's perfected.

Although if you look at Universal Theme Parks debts this may actually be a big mistake for Comcast to get involved. Not only is Universal almost 2 billion dollars in debt, but they will owe Stephen Spielberg another billion or so dollars in the years to come. True, that is only the theme park's side of it but they are still part of the deal.

I could go on forever...I have been blogging about this October! http://blog.orlandominivacations.com/Blog/bid/21756/Universal-Studios-Next-Theme-Park-to-Go-Bust
