“An engineering school's MBA: cheap, technical, and employed.”

Scorecard
Four pillars, weighted into the BP ScoreOur review
Scheller prices like a state school and teaches like the engineering institute it belongs to. Non-residents pay about $84,000 total — less than one year at half the schools we rank — and Georgia residents pay closer to $62,000. The curriculum leans into what the campus does best: analytics, operations, supply chain, and a tech-square location surrounded by corporate innovation labs.
Atlanta does the placement work. Home to Delta, Coca-Cola, Home Depot, UPS, and a growing fintech corridor, the metro absorbs Scheller classes almost whole; the school’s 2025 employment report shows 87% of seekers with offers inside three months at a $145,000 median base. Per dollar of tuition, no program in this ranking returns more.
The quantitative and computational finance master’s, run with the math college, holds national respect on trading desks, and the MSBA shares the same engineering halo. Limits: a 110-person class, a thin coastal alumni footprint, and a culture that can feel like an engineering department that happens to grant MBAs — because it is.
What impressed us
- Unmatched ROI. $84,000 sticker against $145,000 median pay.
- Atlanta anchor. A Fortune 500 metro hires the class locally.
- Engineering halo. QCF and MSBA credentials carry Tech's weight.
What gave us pause
- Tiny footprint. 110 students, and alumni thin out past the Southeast.
- Engineer's culture. Career services assume self-direction.
The verdict
The best pure ROI we have measured. For analytics, operations, fintech, or any Atlanta-anchored career, Scheller beats schools charging double; for coastal prestige plays, the footprint isn't there yet.
