What changed in 2026

From the editors' analysis of this year's data

Foster is this table’s argument in miniature: 52% of its 2025 class took technology offers — the highest share in the country — because Amazon and Microsoft treat the 120-person class as a local bench. Haas plays the same home-field game at a third of Bay Area scale, and MIT Sloan converts Kendall Square adjacency into the strongest deep-tech and AI placement anywhere.

The category survived a stress test. Big-tech MBA hiring fell by nearly half from its 2022 peak before AI-native companies began backfilling seats in 2025, tripling their intake at the programs we track. That reshuffle rewards technical credibility over brand: the schools on this list rising fastest are the ones where an MBA can pass an engineering hiring loop’s sniff test.

How this ranking works

How do you verify salary and placement data?

Every figure comes from each school's employment report prepared under the MBA CSEA standard, which is independently audited. Where a school declines to report, we mark it unranked for that pillar rather than estimating.

Can schools pay to improve their position?

No. We accept no advertising, referral fees, or enhanced-profile payments from ranked institutions.

How often is this ranking updated?

Fully rebuilt each June when audited employment reports land, with a mid-cycle data refresh in January.

One hundred programs is a lot. Three questions isn't.
