Scorecard
Four pillars, weighted into the BP ScoreOur review
Marriott’s economics break the industry’s chart. Church subsidy holds two-year tuition near $28,000 for members (about double for non-members, still the category floor), while the school’s 2025 employment report lists a $135,000 median base and 90% placement at three months. No program we rank comes within shouting distance of that ratio.
The graduates carry a specific reputation — disciplined, often multilingual from missionary service, older than average, and unusually loyal hires — that Utah’s booming tech corridor and national employers like Amazon and Deloitte have learned to price in. Silicon Slopes effectively treats Marriott as its campus.
The constraints are cultural and known: an honor code that shapes campus life, a class that skews male and overwhelmingly LDS, and a Provo location that concentrates recruiting in the Mountain West. Candidates who fit thrive; candidates who don’t, don’t apply.
What impressed us
- Category-floor cost. Roughly $28,000 total for members.
- Placement strength. 90% with offers at three months in 2025.
- Silicon Slopes pipeline. Utah tech hires the class on repeat.
What gave us pause
- Cultural specificity. The honor code and demographics define the experience.
- Regional concentration. Mountain West placement dominates.
The verdict
On pure return, the best deal in American graduate business education — a rounding-error tuition against six-figure outcomes. The cultural fit question is real and personal, and it's the only question.
