Stephen Colbert started as an understudy for Steve Carell (Second City Chicago), but has since become a powerhouse with a successful show of his own. Before the Colbert Show took off, Colbert co-developed two sketch comedy series and worked as a “correspondent” for Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show.” Now, the Colbert report earns high ratings on Comedy Central and has been nominated for three Emmies.
