California Coast University (CCU) is a distance learning institution founded in 1973. It offers online programs and correspondence programs specifically for students who are unable to attend traditional on-campus classes due to geographic, personal or professional commitments. The university is based in Santa Ana, CA.
Online programs are offered in the fields of Healthcare Administration, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Business Marketing, Education and Management. The application process can be initiated by submitting required documents to the University Admissions Departments. These documents include completed application, a detailed resume, official transcripts, a request for elective credit (for undergraduate applicants) and a personal statement pertaining to professional and personal goals (for doctoral students only). Tuition rates are based on a cost per unit of credit. Contiguous US tuition for associate and bachelor’s degree programs cost $ 150.00 per credit, while master’s tuition and doctoral tuition cost $ 230.00 per unit and $ 290.00 per unit, respectively. International or outside contiguous US counterparts pay $ 165.00 per unit for associate and bachelor’s programs, $ 260.00 per unit for master’s programs and $ 330.00 per unit for doctoral programs. Costs of textbooks are not included in tuition fees. Those entitled to 10% discount include military personnel and their dependents as well as students who have previously received a CCU degree.
California Coast University is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). Some of the usual financial aid forms used by students are the educational assistance benefits offered through Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES) and the Montgomery G.I.
