LeTourneau University Online

LeTourneau University (LETU) was founded in 1946 as LeTourneau Technical Institute. It is an interdenominational co-ed institution with degree programs in the fields of aeronautical sciences, business, education, engineering, engineering technology, the liberal arts and natural sciences. It offers programs for adult learners in the form of evening, weekend, and online classes. LETU has earned the distinction of being ranked by the US News and World Report in its recently released 2011 “Guide to America’s Best Colleges as number 35. It’s online college was also ranked #22 among all online schools in the United States in 2011 by The Best Colleges.

Currently, LETU offers the following online degree programs: Associates Degree, Bachelor in Business, Bachelor in Psychology, Interdisciplinary Studies (TEACH), Master in Business Administration (MBA), Master in Strategic Leadership, Master in Education, and TX Teacher Certification (PACT). Its online MBA program is ranked 30th by GetEducated.com’s “Best Buy”, while its Master in Strategic Leadership program is ranked 6th.

Admission requirements for online programs vary per program, however, for regular admission, the basic requirements is as follows:

– Minimum overall GPA of 2.00
– Official transcripts
– Minimum age of 21
– TOEFL scores – international students whose native language is not English

Tuition at LETU’s online programs ranges from $202 per credit hour to $620 per credit hour. Note that online graduate course tuition starts at $510 per credit hour.
Financial aid is available at LeTourneau, mostly in the form of Federal Aid (grants and loans).

LeTourneau University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Its business, engineering and flight programs also have specialized accreditation.
