Post University is recognized as one of the nation’s top 20 online degree program providers. It is Connecticut’s largest provider of online education. Among online education providers, Post University enjoys an 18th place ranking as determined by the Online Education Database. It was founded in 1890 as a traditional university and started offering online degree programs in 1997.
The university is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is licensed by the State of Connecticut through the Department of Higher Education. Online degree programs are offered in the undergraduate and graduate levels. Professional certificate courses are also offered. Basic admissions requirements include a completed application form, official high school diploma, GED, or official transcripts from the college or university previously attended. Post University follows a very flexible credit transfer policy that allows students to transfer up to 90 credits for the attainment of a bachelor’s degree or up to 9 qualifying graduate credits towards a master’s degree.
To be eligible for financial aid, students must first be accepted for admission to Post University Online. Students will also need to take a minimum of six credits per enrollment period. A combination of federal financial aid, loans and easy payment plans typically enable students to finance their education. The online programs consist of eight-week accelerated modules that start in various dates during the year and can be completed in a year to 18 months.
All online graduate courses currently offered by Post University require three credit hours. Tuition rate is $ 595.00 per credit hour. Tuition refunds can be facilitated when a student withdraws from an online course by sending an email. Payment for tuition is due prior to the first day of classes.
