Stetson University Online

Stetson University is an independent, coed academic institution that was founded in 1773. It was initially called the DeLand Academy but was renamed to Stetson University in 1889. The main campus is located in DeLand, but the school has several satellite colleges also within the state of Florida.

Stetson University offers a wide range of academic programs from undergraduate level courses to more specialised graduate-level degrees through its four schools namely: Arts and Sciences, Law, Business Administration, and Music. Other courses are also offered under Stetson’s Special Programs. Majority of the courses at Stetson are to be taken on-campus with the exception of the University’s LL.M in Elder Law where all but one course are taught via distance education. The other program available through Stetson’s distance education arm is the Master of Accountancy. This course is offered completely online.

The tuition fee for Stetson’s online Master of Accountancy program is $750.00 per credit hour. This does not include the cost of books and other incidental fees. Financial assistance in the form of federal grants, loans and scholarships are available for eligible students. To apply for admission to Stetson’s online Master of Accountancy program, potential students must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting from a regionally accredited academic institution. Applicants who meet this requirement are must then forward the completed application form, comprehensive resume, transcripts from other schools attended, 3 letters of recommendation, GMAT score of over 500, GPA score of 3.0+ and the application fee of $100.00 to the admission’s office for the school’s evaluation. Stetson University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, Stetson University’s School of Business Administration and the Accounting programs offered through this school (including the Master in Accountancy (online) program) are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
