Western International University (WIU), a for-profit university founded in 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona, is an educational institution that caters primarily to adult and professional learners. WIU’s classes are held on-campus in the evenings or online via WIU Interactive Online thus giving working adults the chance to complete their academic degrees without compromising on their personal and professional lifestyles.
WIU offers nine Master Degree programs, ten Bachelor Degree programs (students can choose from 9 minors for the Bachelor of Science in Business program), one associate degree and one certificate program. These programs are available completely online, through night classes on campus, and through an online-blended format where some courses may be held on campus. Classes meet once a week and new sessions start every month. A full list of available online, on-campus, and online blended programs, and each program’s admission requirements can be viewed through the Western International University website.
Tuition for online courses vary. Online undergraduate programs range from $400 to $485 per credit unit while online graduate programs range from $495 to $570. Tuition fee discounts apply to students who are in active military duty. The discount may also apply to military spouses. Financial aid plans such as federal grants, loans, and tuition repayment plans are also available to qualified students. Information on financial aid plans and requirements can be requested from the WIU’s Office of Financial Aid.
Western International University is authorized to offer and award certificates, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
