Oklahoma Wesleyan University is an evangelical Christian university of the Wesleyan Church. Founded in 1972, it started offering adults the opportunity to further their education through programs provided by the Office of Adult and Graduate Studies. These programs eventually included offerings given in the online format.
Online degree programs include Psychology Studies, Ministry and Leadership, RN to BSN, Early Childhood, Organizational Management and Ethics as well as the STEP program. Online programs are offered in the undergraduate and graduate levels with each course requiring 5 to 6 weeks to complete. Oklahoma Wesleyan University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The admissions process can be initiated by contacting an Enrollment Representative after making a choice among the offered programs and courses. Application for financial aid is done during the admissions process. Tuition and fee rates vary depending on the program. A locked-in tuition option is offered to students who stay with their original cohort. Online undergraduate lower division classes charge a tuition rate of $ 319.00 per credit while upper division classes charge $ 388.00 per credit. Online graduate courses cost $ 465.00 per credit.

Prospective online students are expected to possess strong time management skills and organizational skills while being self-motivated and able to work independently. Since all coursework is done online, students should be comfortable working with technology. At least 15 to 20 hours of study are expected to be given by students per week for an online class.
