Spotify family plan drops pricing to $14.99 for 6 people

Spotify Family Plan

Spotify just became much more competitive with Apple Music, dropping the cost of its family plan to $14.99 for up to six people in a household.

Families can now subscribe to Spotify Premium for $14.99 per month and get six different Spotify accounts and profiles.

Spotify introduced its family plan in 2014 but sold the plan at a 50% discount based on the number of accounts. That means paying $14.99 for two accounts, $19.99 for three accounts, $19.99 for four accounts.

A family of six would cost $35 using the old Spotify model. It now costs $14.99 for the same thing.

Spotify family plans are available in all countries where Spotify operates excluding Canada but prices differ based on location.

Spotify has more than 30 million premium users while Apple has 13 million subscribers.

Users can take advantage of this deal for iOS and Android products, making it a more attractive offer for multi-device families.
