California State University, Northridge

Also known as Cal State Northridge, California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is a public university located in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, CA. It was originally founded as a satellite campus of Cal State Los Angeles and is part of the California State University System. It offers its programs through nine (9) colleges including the College of Extended Learning which facilitates its online programs.

California State University, Northridge has consistently been given positive rankings in terms of its educational programs. These would include being listed in the 2005 America’s Best Colleges for its engineering programs, its College of Business and Economics ranked as a Top Tier Business School and its Music Department being ranked among the top 25 accredited university programs. It has also been ranked first among 529 master’s college and universities which produced undergraduates who went on to obtain doctoral degrees in science and engineering.

Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), California State University, Northridge also offers online General Education Courses as well as Non-General Education Courses.
