The Pima Medical Institute originally offered Nursing Assistance Programs when it was established in 1972. It currently has eleven (11) campuses found in seven (7) states. It founded its online campus in 2006 to offer more educational options while seeking to be one of the premier colleges in the Western United States. Online courses offered by Pima Medical Institute include Advanced Placement Track – Radiography (APTR), Bachelor of Science in Radiological Sciences (BSRS), Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT), Healthcare Administration and the Fluoroscopy Course. The Advanced Placement Track Radiography Program is offered to students having prior radiography education. The BSRS program takes approximately 15 months to complete while the BSRT program consists of 60 weeks of content. The Online Healthcare Administration Program is designed like an online associate degree completion course. The Fluoroscopy Training Course requires five weeks of online coursework plus an on-site 15-hour fluoroscopy lab time for one weekend in La Jolla, California.
Admissions requirements vary depending on the chosen course. Program tuition varies as well. The APTR program tuition is $ 18,293.00. Financial aid can be accessed by qualified students. The Financial Aid Department shall contact the student to begin the process of availment of financial aid upon the completion of the admissions process.
